About this piece
A single magenta jellyfish drifts downward through a sea of pearl-grey water, its bell catching the warm shaft of light that falls from the surface. Doljenkova lets the pigment bloom and granulate so the water itself seems alive with anemones and drifting spores. The trailing tentacles are drawn with a calligrapher's confidence — loose, deliberate, never fussy. A quiet, hypnotic study of weightlessness and the slow theatre of the deep.
