About this piece
A garden snail makes its slow procession along a bare branch, redcurrants hanging like small lanterns to one side, a wash of spring sky and fresh green behind. The shell's spiral is drawn with a fine ink line and filled with honeyed ochre; everything else stays loose and breathing. It is a small celebration of patience — the kind of overlooked moment Doljenkova is drawn to again and again.
