About this piece
A cluster of white-and-blue hydrangea florets blooms out of a controlled explosion of ultramarine spatter, flecked with drops of gold. The flowers themselves are barely there — soft, modelled in the gentlest greys — so that all the energy lives in the burst of colour around them. A modern, graphic botanical that would carry a wall on its own.
